The high school has a history of academic success, and regularly represent Vermont in national technology, debate, civics, and scholarly competitions. The yearly musical prepared by the school’s drama club is not to be missed, and the school’s eighteen athletic programs produce high-quality talent, and high-quality fun, for its physically active students. South Burlington also hosts private schools such as the Rice Memorial High School, a Roman Catholic organization, and the Vermont Commons School, which offers high-level college preparatory programs.
