Vermont is a special place throughout the four seasons! Summer brings the Vermont Mozart Festival along the shores of Shelburne, where you can also stroll through the Shelburne Museum. A hike up Mount Philo in Charlotte or a sail on Lake Champlain from Mallets Bay, Colchester, Shelburne Marina, or the Burlington Boat House provides expansive views of the Green Mountain Range to the East and the Adirondacks across the lake to the West, in New York.
Burlington offers daily events with the Church Street Marketplace, acclaimed eateries, Echo Museum on Lake Champlain, the University of Vermont, and breathtaking views of Lake Champlain. From the Bass Masters Tournament to boating events, from hiking and kayaking to biking along the Rail Trail through the Lake Champlain Islands into South Hero and beyond, northern Vermont is a treasure of opportunity.
Essex boasts the Champlain Valley Exposition, which has an annual fair and weekend events year-round for everything from antiquing, Air-Streams, street-rods, and craft fairs, to concerts, Monster Trucks, and other fun happenings.
Summer explodes into fantastic fall foliage with Vermonts renowned array of color. There is the return of students to the various area college campuses and an influx of tourists viewing the colorful mountainsides. This is a great time of year to take a tour of the many covered bridges which dot the countryside or go to Addison County to witness the migration of the thousands of snow geese.
